PLEASE NOTE…

In 2020, we participated in the Collin CARES voucher program authorized by the Collin County Commissioners Court to cover COVID-19 testing costs for uninsured Collin County Residents. The program has ended after all funding was used.

CommunityMed accepts insurance, or patients may pay all cash for a COVID-19 test and visit at our locations.

CommunityMed Urgent Care is in-network with most major insurance providers, including Medicare and Tricare. Recent Federal CARES act updates changed COVID testing coverages. A patient’s normal office visit co-pay and deductible will apply towards the patient office visit portion of the appointment. For everyone’s safety and wellbeing, CommunityMed does not currently provide COVID testing without a patient office visit. Most major insurers cover the cost of the lab test itself. Patients should call the number on the back of their health insurance card to verify what their plan covers.

Visit our COVID Testing page for more information about the different COVID-19 tests – rapid PCR, rapid antigen and blood antibody.
