Why Routine Physicals Matter
An annual physical exam isn’t just for checking boxes—it’s about proactive care, early detection, and long-term wellness. Many serious health conditions, including high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, and hormonal imbalances, develop without noticeable symptoms. Regular physicals help:
Stay Ahead of Your Health with Preventative Care
Many serious health conditions develop silently, without noticeable symptoms. Regular wellness exams allow for early detection and intervention, helping to prevent minor issues from becoming major health concerns. By staying proactive, you can reduce your risk of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and more, ensuring you stay healthy and active for years to come.
Track Key Health Indicators for Long-Term Wellness
Your body’s vital signs provide crucial insights into your overall health. During your wellness exam, we’ll monitor blood pressure, cholesterol levels, BMI, and other important markers to assess your risk factors and create a personalized plan for better health. Regular check-ins help you stay informed, make healthier choices, and adjust your lifestyle as needed to maintain your well-being.
Personalized Guidance for a Healthier You
Wellness is more than just numbers—it’s about how you feel every day. Our providers offer expert advice on nutrition, weight management, energy levels, stress reduction, and sleep quality to help you feel your best. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, improve fitness, or simply optimize your overall health, we’ll work with you to create realistic, achievable goals that fit your lifestyle.

Frequently Asked
Questions
What is an adult wellness physical?
An adult wellness physical is a routine check-up designed to assess your overall health, identify potential risks, and provide guidance for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
How is an adult wellness physical different from a regular doctor’s visit?
While a regular visit typically addresses specific concerns or illnesses, a wellness physical is more comprehensive. It focuses on preventive care, long-term health goals, and lifestyle improvements.
How often should I get a wellness physical?
Most adults should have a wellness physical once a year. However, your provider may recommend more frequent visits if you have chronic conditions or other risk factors.
Do I need to prepare for my physical?
Yes. To ensure the most accurate results, we recommend:
- Bringing a list of medications you’re currently taking
- Wearing loose, comfortable clothing
- Avoiding heavy meals before any blood work, if required
How long does a wellness physical typically take?
Most physicals take about 30 to 45 minutes, though this may vary depending on your health needs and the discussions you have with your provider.
Will I receive my results during the visit or afterward?
Some results, like vital signs and BMI, will be discussed during your visit. If lab work is required, your provider will follow up once results are available.
What should I bring with me to my appointment?
Please bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card (if applicable), and a list of your medications and supplements.
Do I need an appointment for an adult wellness physical?
Yes. We require patients to register for an appointment to ensure timely care.
Does insurance cover an adult wellness physical?
Yes, most major insurance plans cover wellness physicals. We recommend contacting your provider to confirm your coverage.
What if I don’t have insurance? What are my options?
We offer affordable self-pay pricing for those without insurance. Our team will work with you to ensure you get the care you need at a fair price.
Do you offer mammograms or PAP smears?
We do not offer mammograms or PAP smears. However, if you need these services, we will refer you to a specialist or your primary care provider to ensure you get the care you need.
Patient Reviews
The X-ray and all flu/COVID tests were done incredibly quickly, with hardly any wait time to see the doctor. The entire team made what could have been a stressful experience so much easier. Thank you, CommunityMed, for your exceptional service and care!
I will recommend this place for sure. All employees were very nice.
I went online, set up my appt and checked in for the time I chose. Got there a few min early and waited maybe 5 min. I was tested for Covid and the flu. Both were negative. I received a steroid shot and antibiotics for a sinus infection.
I came here once before when I couldn't see my PCP. This is a great alternative!
I went online, set up my appt and checked in for the time I chose. Got there a few min early and waited maybe 5 min. It was great. Amy, the P.A. was very attentive and thorough. I was tested for Covid and the flu. Both were negative. I received a steroid shot and antibiotics for a sinus infection. I didn't even feel the shot when she gave it to me (felt the burn from the steroid later)!
I love my PCP, but I know where I'm going if his office is ever backed up again.
The Doctor was amazing with my girls. He took his time talking with, and explaining, things to my girls. He made us all feel very comfortable and welcome to express concerns and feelings. Kindness goes a long way and their customer service was absolutely 2nd to none!
Just a simple thank you from an overwhelmed and stressed out momma. You all are a big asset to this facility. Thank you for all you do!
Dr. Brent was fantastic, very knowledgeable and very thorough. The exam was quick and easy. He talked to my daughter about the normal things like eating healthy, getting sleep, taking care of yourself - but also talked about things like staying hydrated and how to look for signs if you are dehydrated, and signs of heat exhaustion when they are out marching in the Texas heat.
Another thing he talked about is human trafficking (and gave us some things to read at home)- not a lot of doctors talk about it, even though it really needs to be addressed more often- so I really appreciate him tqking the time and talking about that with her also (even though we have had those conversations at home, it is always good to hear them coming from someone else). Thank you Dr. Brent! We will be coming back for any other needs!
However, due to the clinic’s proximity, I decided to give them another chance—and I’m glad I did. This time, I had an appointment, was seen right on time, and the process was quick and efficient. The staff was polite, patient and professional, and overall, the experience was much better. Because of this, I’d consider using their services again.
I’m giving four stars instead of five simply because I’m not a fan of having to wait in my car for a call to check in. Additionally, the number I was told I would receive a call from was not the one that actually contacted me, and the caller ID didn’t reflect the clinic’s name. As someone who doesn’t answer calls from unknown numbers, this could have been an issue had I not picked up.
